An unelaborate, rather lacklustre large-scale resort reminiscent of Butlins holiday camps and which offers self-catering and half board options. It occupies a huge wooded waterside area in an isolated location which is well removed from the town. The public areas date from the 1970s and are fairly basic and tired looking, and there is a lack of in-room facilities. However there are lots of sports facilities on offer including a dive centre, watersports, cycling and tennis courts, and active undemanding families are likely to have lots of fun. 292 hotel rooms and 508 self-catering apartments.
A plain attractive 2-storey main building adjacent to a small tiled courtyard. Accommodation is basic and unremarkable including single plain white bungalows and 2-storey yellow concrete blocks.
Property type: Holiday Complex
The interior is limited to a basic reception. A separate single storey building houses a minimarket, hairdresser and a simple restaurant while a large building beside the waters edge has a large plain buffet restaurant with motley painted murals, sea views and an adjoining TV lounge. Outside is a large functional covered bar terrace with a stage.
Vast forested grounds have stone paths connecting the accomodation buildings, patchy lawns and cycling and jogging tracks. There are flat concrete bathing platforms, jetties and a small beach beside a kids play area. A tatty concrete pool area features a large water slide.
Area Type: In an isolated rural seaside location 2 mls from Rovinj town centre, on an extensive pine-wooded site just off the main road, surrounded by pine forests.
Nearest beach: immediate yds (Zlatni rt)
